In HDR Light Studio 8.2.2, we've introduced a game-changing feature. The Blender Viewport can now be streamed into the HDR Light Studio interface, allowing you to use our powerful LightPaint tools directly on Blender's interactive render. This not only simplifies your workflow but also enhances your creative control, making your lighting design process more efficient and enjoyable.
Users no longer need to export the scene into HDR Light Studio or to arrange the HDR Light Studio interface around Blender's rendering viewport.
We've re-engineered the add-on to be faster and more responsive. Now, using LightPaint to drag area lights around the scene is a much smoother experience.
The HDR Light Studio add-on for Blender works with Eevee, Cycles, RenderMan, and Octane Render.

Area Light Texture Scale
The new Texture Scale setting in the Light Properties panel allows the resolution for each Area Light to be scaled. If you are using HDR Light Studio with Unreal, you may be concerned about the amount of memory used by the final area light textures. This new setting allows for low-resolution production render settings for area light textures. That low resolution would be suitable for soft lighting effects where lights don't contain much detail. However, if there was an area light with visual details you wanted to preserve, the Texture Scale setting can be increased for just that area light using the Texture Scale.
Unreal Plug-in Bug Fixes
Bugs fixes include a texture brightness clamping issue with Area Light textures.
