What is Maintenance?
Maintenance = Software Updates + Support for your Permanent HDR Light Studio licenses.

Maintenance Renewal Changes

There are 5 states your maintenance can be in...
1. Your software has more than 90 days of maintenance remaining.
You can’t renew maintenance yet.
Your maintenance renewal option will look something like this on your account. Screen grab taken 1 July 2020.
2. You have less than 90 days remaining on your maintenance.
Renew Maintenance Early
• Pay for 1 year of Maintenance.
• 365 days of Maintenance is added to your previous maintenance.
• Upgrade to our latest version of HDR Light Studio/Connections.
• Upgrade to new builds released up to your new Maintenance expiry date.
• Receive Customer Support up to your new Maintenance expiry date.
You can renew up to 90 days prior to expiry of current maintenance
Below you can see what your renewal option will look like on your 'My Maintenance' web page on your account at www.lightmap.co.uk.

3. You have let your maintenance lapse. You are less than 365 days (1 year) past the maintenance expiry date.
Add 1 Year of Maintenance
• Pay for 1 year of Maintenance.
• 365 days of Maintenance is added to your previous maintenance.
• Upgrade to our latest version of HDR Light Studio/Connections.
• Upgrade to new builds released up to your new Maintenance expiry date.
• Receive Customer Support up to your new Maintenance expiry date.
Renew within 1st year after expiry
Below you can see what your renewal options will look like on your 'My Maintenance' web page on your account at www.lightmap.co.uk.

In the example above the maintenance expired 30 September 2019. We are looking at this maintenance on 1st July 2020. Renewing this maintenance on 1st July 2020 will add 365 days to 30 September 2019, so the new maintenance date if this is purchased is: 29 September 2020. (2020 was a leap year and has 366 days, hence the date changing from 30 September to 29 September, you buy 365 days)
Please Note: If you waited to renew your maintenance 360 days after your maintenance expiry, so almost a year late. This renewal will allow you to run the latest software, but will only provide updates and support for 5 days after the purchase date. This is therefore using maintenance renewal more like an upgrade fee, which is an advantage of the new system.
4. You have let your maintenance lapse. You are between 365 days (1 year) and 730 days (2 years) past the maintenance expiry date.
Add 2 Years of Maintenance
• Pay for 2 years of Maintenance.
• 730 days of Maintenance is added to your previous maintenance.
• Upgrade to our latest version of HDR Light Studio/Connections.
• Upgrade to new builds released up to your new Maintenance expiry date.
• Receive Customer Support up to your new Maintenance expiry date.
Renew within 2nd year after expiry
Below you can see what your renewal option will look like on your 'My Maintenance' web page on your account at www.lightmap.co.uk.

5. You have let your maintenance lapse. You are 730 days (2 years) or more past the maintenance expiry date.
You have 2 choices:
A) Upgrade to the Current Release.
• Cost is capped to 2 years of Maintenance fees.
• New Maintenance expiry date is set to this maintenance's purchase date.
• Upgrade to our latest version of HDR Light Studio/Connections
You have the option to return to the store at a later date and make a second purchase to extend your maintenance further, to receive support and future releases.
B) Upgrade to the Current Release + 1 Year of Maintenance.
• Cost is capped to 3 years of Maintenance fees.
• New Maintenance expiry date is set to 365 days after this maintenance's purchase date.
• Upgrade to our latest version of HDR Light Studio/Connections.
• Upgrade to new builds released up to your new Maintenance expiry date.
• Receive Customer Support up to your new Maintenance expiry date.
Option A - Renewal 2 years or later after expiry
Select which option you want using the radio button, then scroll down and press 'Add Renewals to Basket' button. Screen grab taken 1 July 2020.
Maintenance Prices
The only way to find out the price you will pay for your maintenance renewal is to go to this web page, www.lightmap.co.uk/account/maintenance and add maintenance to your basket. The price is then calculated based on the system above and is displayed in your basket. If you don't see your maintenance renewal waiting for you, please email: sales@lightmap.co.uk
